GUIDELINES FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE ABSTRACTS
- All abstracts should be in English. Use appropriate words and correct grammar.
- Size: Should have a maximum of 300 words typed in the box space provided.
- Format of the abstract.
The abstract should contain the following information in the given order:
Title box: In the title box provide the following information i. Title: The title should be concise and clear not exceeding fifteen words ii. Authors' names: Provide authors full names iii. Institutions: Provide authors' institutions and addresses. In case of multiple institutions identify them by numbers
Text box: In the text box type the following information i. Background: Type the background of the topic under investigation ii. Aim: give the aim of the study iii. Methods: Describe briefly the methods used iv. Results: provide a summary of important findings v. Conclusion: Give a conclusion in relation to the findings.
If you paper is Experience based, The abstract should contain the following information in the given order: Experience: (mostly based from an experience or a field work) Issues: a summary of the issue(s) addresses by the abstract; Description: a description of activities carried out, research, project, experience, service and/or advocacy, and results obtained Lessons learned: conclusions and implications of the research or project; Next steps: possible next steps for implementation or further research.
